L'oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit Review India

I usually skip doing review for any product that I didn't like but I think an honest to god review can help someone from buying a crappy product. I was so excited to finally see a brow kit in the drugstore that I didn't question it's integrity and just jumped in and bought it. That was a huge mistake.

I am talking about the L'oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit. From now on I am going to refer to it as L'oreal brow kit. Usually when you buy a brow kit, you get minimum two pans inside it. One pan is a gel based product which is helpful to define the shape of the brow. The other pan has powder usually a dark lighter to the gel which is helpful in filling up the bald spot in your brow. The gel is usually used at the tail part of the brow and the powder part is used at the front part.

The L'oreal brow kit also comes with two pans. One of them is gel based and the other is powder. The gel is too dry and also has very minimal pigmentation. The powder is even worse than the gel in pigmentation. If you like your brow very natural like you have hardly defined it then you might like this product. But I have too many bald spots to hide and this does absolutely nothing to hide them.

The brow kit comes with a very useful brush. One side of the brush is a angled eyebrow defining brush and the other side is a spooly. I don't use the kit at all but I use the brush constantly.

The other thing which I didn't like about the brow kit is that they have just come out with one universal product for all kinds of skin type and skin colour. I have very light hair compared to the usual Indian hair colour and this brow kit colour is greyish brown which doesn't go with my hair or  my skin type.

All in all a very disappointing product. Even more disappointing is the price. It retails for Rs895 and I regret wasting my hard earned money on this product.

I hope my review will be helpful to you if you are deciding whether or not to buy this product.

MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel Review | MAC Moisturiser Gel Review India

I am a very firm believer of the fact that any skin care product which is going to touch my skin should be of the top quality. That is why I don't look at the price when I buy a moisturiser and that is why I don't have too many skin care products in my collection. Whenever I buy a moisturiser, I use till it is completely over and then move on to the next.

Till today I was a big fan of Clinique moisture surge gel. I was using it since a good two years without even doubting it even once. That changed when I found the MAC mineralize gel. The Clinique moisture surge gel used to hydrate my skin but also made my skin extremely oily. MAC mineralize gel hydrate my skin without making it oily or dry.

I don't know how it does it work. In the past I have tried cremes which have dried on my skin to become completely matte, but eventually it would leave dry patches around my nose. That is why I started using the Clinique moisture surge gel as it didn't not leave dry patches but left my skin oily. I never thought that there could be a gel creme which can make you matte and at the same time not show off your dry patches till I found MAC mineralize gel.

I have been constantly using the MAC mineralize gel since the past two months now without any complaints. Let's start with the review of this product.

The packaging is quite sturdy. I have travelled with it to other cities and I have never had the problem of cap opening and ruining my luggage.

The consistency is obviously like gel. I apply little dots around my face and then blend it with my finger tips. You have to let it dry on your skin for 2-3 mins before it gets completely matte. It doesn't have any fragrance which is something frankly I like.

It retails for Rs3200 which is pricey but as I said earlier I don't mind to spend a little when it comes to skin care products.  At the end I would say I am very satisfied with this creme and this is currently my favourite and also essential need.

Thank you for reading the review. Please comment if you have any queries. :)

Makeup Revolution London Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice Review

It has been so long since I have written a blog. It was mainly because I was lazy. But today I am quite enthusiastic to do another product review and the product is a blush palette from Makeup Revolution London.

I was not aware of this brand until recently I started watching some young youtubers from India. They seemed to be very enthusiastic about this brand. I remember purchasing a eyeshadow palette two years back but I never used it much because the pigmentation wasn't that good. And I once I was disappointed with one product I completely ditched the entire brand until recently.

As I was not following the brand for quite sometime I didn't know all the latest products they have launched and all the improvements they have made in their products. I went ahead and bought the blush palette relying solely on the reviews of the eyeshadow palette I have see on youtube. I already had too many eyeshadow palette already but I was in dire need of a blush palette.

Let's start the review by talking about the packaging. The packaging, as you can see from the picture, is a simple black rectangular palette which is made up of plastics. This plastic doesn't look cheap at all and is very travel friendly packaging.

Once you open the lid you will see 8 blush pans. The other side has a huge mirror on it. This is another reason why this palette is so travel friendly as you don't have to carry a separate mirror.

Out of the 8 shades, 2 are highlighters and 6 are blushes. They have thought about all skin types and made shades good for any skin colour. There is no name to each shade so it will be a little difficult for me to try to explain. I am just going to number them as 1 to 8.

1. This colour looks like brown but when you apply it, it leaves a slight pink tinge to your cheeks. Best to wear it during the day time.
2. This is extremely light for me and maybe doesn't even show on my skin. It will work best with darker skin tones ladies.
3. A beautiful bright pick colour. If you are really fair this would make you look even fairer. Make sure to not apply too much as it is very pigmented.
4. A very light pick highlighter. This on skin almost looks like silver. The pigmentation of the sparkles is awesome and you will shine like a diamond once you apply this.

5. A mauve blush which looks very flattering for a formal affair.
6. This pink is again very light and would look very flattering on almost all skin colours.
7. This is a light peach colour. Perfect for a summer fresh look. Again, you have to be careful about the pigmentation.
8. This is a magenta highlighter. This highlighter can be applied as a blush plus highlighter as it is really gorgeous magenta colour or you can top it above the colour number 3 or 6.

I hope I was able to review the colours properly as I am very poor in explaining colours in writing or speaking.

I bought this blush palette from Flipkart and the price was Rs1350 when I purchased it.

At the end I would say it has all the colours you need for your blush. Give this product a go and I am sure you will fall in love.

Don't forget to be awesome....
