Physician Formula Bronze Booster Review

I am really very new to this brand from the United States. Physician Formula is not something available easily in India. I got this on amazon and I kinda like the bronzer. Along with the bronzer I had also purchased a BB cream but the review on that will be in a different blog post.

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a plastic compact kind of a packaging and also has a mirror and a contour brush inside it. The brush is not that great but good enough for use when you forget your favourite contour brush.

The color that I have purchased is Medium to Dark. I think it suites me perfectly. I always use it when I don't want an overwhelming amount of contour but at the same time I want to have a slight shadow underneath my cheekbones. The bronzer has shimmer in it but it hardly shows up on your skin. If you are not into shinny bronzer then this might not be for you.

The color payoff is light and you have to build it up to get the necessary shade. I like the how natural it looks when applied in less quantity. The price on amazon when I bought it was Rs1353. This amount can change according to the supply and demand on amazon.

At the end I would just say that if the price of this is too expensive then there are many good bronzers available in India which would do the job just fine. Maybe better than this!

The Body Shop Insta Blur Primer Review

I cannot live without a primer. I am such an oily bitch that if I want my makeup to last my crazy work hours as well as the crazy travelling then I have to necessarily use a primer. I was a fan of the Loreal Base Magique primer for a brief amount of time but it was too thick for me. I had a very hard time blending it. I remember once I had applied and didn't sufficiently blend it and ended up with white color primer lumps on my face. Very embarrassing!

I was really keen on trying The Body Shop's Insta Blur primer as I had seen many youtubers rave about it on their channel. I picked it up three weeks back and I am super impressed by it. When I don't use a primer the oil from my skin used to melt my makeup during the day and make me shine like the sun. Mind you this shine is not on my cheeks but this shine was on my nose. Gross!

The primer is silicon based and fills my pores with silicon which controls the oil and also makes the appearance of the pores less. This is a not as thick as the Loreal Base Magique primer so it blends very easily on my skin. I have noticed that it makes my makeup last for at least 7-8 hours.

It is doesn't have any color or strong odour (something I like). The tube also says that it is a all-in-one primer. You can also use it on its own for just reducing the visibility of pores. The tube I bought contains 25ml of the product and it is sold at the price of Rs1595. The price seems a little high but I like the primer very much, so I am ready to pay the price.

All in all, a good investment if you are looking for a good primer that keeps your makeup lasts long.

L'oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit Review India

I usually skip doing review for any product that I didn't like but I think an honest to god review can help someone from buying a crappy product. I was so excited to finally see a brow kit in the drugstore that I didn't question it's integrity and just jumped in and bought it. That was a huge mistake.

I am talking about the L'oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit. From now on I am going to refer to it as L'oreal brow kit. Usually when you buy a brow kit, you get minimum two pans inside it. One pan is a gel based product which is helpful to define the shape of the brow. The other pan has powder usually a dark lighter to the gel which is helpful in filling up the bald spot in your brow. The gel is usually used at the tail part of the brow and the powder part is used at the front part.

The L'oreal brow kit also comes with two pans. One of them is gel based and the other is powder. The gel is too dry and also has very minimal pigmentation. The powder is even worse than the gel in pigmentation. If you like your brow very natural like you have hardly defined it then you might like this product. But I have too many bald spots to hide and this does absolutely nothing to hide them.

The brow kit comes with a very useful brush. One side of the brush is a angled eyebrow defining brush and the other side is a spooly. I don't use the kit at all but I use the brush constantly.

The other thing which I didn't like about the brow kit is that they have just come out with one universal product for all kinds of skin type and skin colour. I have very light hair compared to the usual Indian hair colour and this brow kit colour is greyish brown which doesn't go with my hair or  my skin type.

All in all a very disappointing product. Even more disappointing is the price. It retails for Rs895 and I regret wasting my hard earned money on this product.

I hope my review will be helpful to you if you are deciding whether or not to buy this product.

MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel Review | MAC Moisturiser Gel Review India

I am a very firm believer of the fact that any skin care product which is going to touch my skin should be of the top quality. That is why I don't look at the price when I buy a moisturiser and that is why I don't have too many skin care products in my collection. Whenever I buy a moisturiser, I use till it is completely over and then move on to the next.

Till today I was a big fan of Clinique moisture surge gel. I was using it since a good two years without even doubting it even once. That changed when I found the MAC mineralize gel. The Clinique moisture surge gel used to hydrate my skin but also made my skin extremely oily. MAC mineralize gel hydrate my skin without making it oily or dry.

I don't know how it does it work. In the past I have tried cremes which have dried on my skin to become completely matte, but eventually it would leave dry patches around my nose. That is why I started using the Clinique moisture surge gel as it didn't not leave dry patches but left my skin oily. I never thought that there could be a gel creme which can make you matte and at the same time not show off your dry patches till I found MAC mineralize gel.

I have been constantly using the MAC mineralize gel since the past two months now without any complaints. Let's start with the review of this product.

The packaging is quite sturdy. I have travelled with it to other cities and I have never had the problem of cap opening and ruining my luggage.

The consistency is obviously like gel. I apply little dots around my face and then blend it with my finger tips. You have to let it dry on your skin for 2-3 mins before it gets completely matte. It doesn't have any fragrance which is something frankly I like.

It retails for Rs3200 which is pricey but as I said earlier I don't mind to spend a little when it comes to skin care products.  At the end I would say I am very satisfied with this creme and this is currently my favourite and also essential need.

Thank you for reading the review. Please comment if you have any queries. :)

Makeup Revolution London Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice Review

It has been so long since I have written a blog. It was mainly because I was lazy. But today I am quite enthusiastic to do another product review and the product is a blush palette from Makeup Revolution London.

I was not aware of this brand until recently I started watching some young youtubers from India. They seemed to be very enthusiastic about this brand. I remember purchasing a eyeshadow palette two years back but I never used it much because the pigmentation wasn't that good. And I once I was disappointed with one product I completely ditched the entire brand until recently.

As I was not following the brand for quite sometime I didn't know all the latest products they have launched and all the improvements they have made in their products. I went ahead and bought the blush palette relying solely on the reviews of the eyeshadow palette I have see on youtube. I already had too many eyeshadow palette already but I was in dire need of a blush palette.

Let's start the review by talking about the packaging. The packaging, as you can see from the picture, is a simple black rectangular palette which is made up of plastics. This plastic doesn't look cheap at all and is very travel friendly packaging.

Once you open the lid you will see 8 blush pans. The other side has a huge mirror on it. This is another reason why this palette is so travel friendly as you don't have to carry a separate mirror.

Out of the 8 shades, 2 are highlighters and 6 are blushes. They have thought about all skin types and made shades good for any skin colour. There is no name to each shade so it will be a little difficult for me to try to explain. I am just going to number them as 1 to 8.

1. This colour looks like brown but when you apply it, it leaves a slight pink tinge to your cheeks. Best to wear it during the day time.
2. This is extremely light for me and maybe doesn't even show on my skin. It will work best with darker skin tones ladies.
3. A beautiful bright pick colour. If you are really fair this would make you look even fairer. Make sure to not apply too much as it is very pigmented.
4. A very light pick highlighter. This on skin almost looks like silver. The pigmentation of the sparkles is awesome and you will shine like a diamond once you apply this.

5. A mauve blush which looks very flattering for a formal affair.
6. This pink is again very light and would look very flattering on almost all skin colours.
7. This is a light peach colour. Perfect for a summer fresh look. Again, you have to be careful about the pigmentation.
8. This is a magenta highlighter. This highlighter can be applied as a blush plus highlighter as it is really gorgeous magenta colour or you can top it above the colour number 3 or 6.

I hope I was able to review the colours properly as I am very poor in explaining colours in writing or speaking.

I bought this blush palette from Flipkart and the price was Rs1350 when I purchased it.

At the end I would say it has all the colours you need for your blush. Give this product a go and I am sure you will fall in love.

Don't forget to be awesome....

Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick Review | Liquid Lipstick in India

Let's begin the review of Chambor Extremewear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick. Boy! That's a mouthful and a handful to say and type. So, from now on I am going to refer to them as Chambor liquid lipstick.

The packaging is very simple and frankly speaking I am not a big fan of it. But the product is good so I am not complaining. It comes in a plastic tube which is transparent and with a plastic black cap. The box in which it comes in has all the information like the expiry date and the price and the ingredients. The applicator is like any other liquid lipstick.

This is a liquid lipstick so when you apply it, it will feel liquid on your lips. You have to let it dry for at least 3-4 mins before it becomes matte. Once it becomes matte it is not going anywhere. It lasts for a good 6-7 hours. It might last a little longer but I had to remove it before going to bed at night.

If you have dry lips I would recommend using a chapstick before and then applying this on your lips. This gets so matte after some time that it might feel a little weird for people with dry lips. The colour I am going to talk about is a beautiful blood red colour number 435.

I was looking for a true red colour which is why I stumbled upon these lipsticks, I have never used Chambor products before but I was so surprised and satisfied after using these. Let me show you pictures of me wearing it through the day to show how long lasting it is.

I wore the lipstick in the morning before work. I use chapstick on top of the lipstick because I don't like my lips too dry.

Then I had a coffee after I reached at Starbucks. The lipstick had transferred a little bit on the travel mug but when I checked myself in the bathroom mirror it didn't feel as if it had transferred.

Then I had a pretty greasy lunch and while eating I was definitely sure that my lips had no lipstick on them. Then again I was surprised when I checked in the bathroom mirror.

The intensity was reducing a little bit but it was the colour was still pretty good. Then in the evening I was looking haggard but my lipstick was still on fleek.

I don't know about you, but if a lipstick stays on my lips for the entire work day then I am impressed thoroughly. I have bought three more colours in this range and I have also made a video review about it here Chambor Liquid Lipstick Review

Do check out the video.

The price of the product is Rs845 for 6ml. I am not complaining as the product itself is amazing.

Please comment below if you are going to try it or not... Bye!!!

Colorbar Luminous Rouge Blush Review

Just the other day I was looking for a good everyday blush which would go with my skin tone. I have wheatish skin tone and I felt pink blush was getting a little too boring for me. I was looking for a coral blush and found a perfect one in Colorbar.

I picked up the Luminous Rouge Blush in the color Luminous Coral. When I first saw it, I thought it was too orange. And in reality if you don't take extra care while dipping your brush into this you might look orange. So be careful of the amount of product you take.

This is what the website has to say about the product -
Unique Blusher with colors that melt into each other for giving your cheeks a delicate glow or sculpting the cheekbones to create evenly & professional - Level look
A silky, impalpable texture that blends magically with the skin, creating an absolutely natural and even effect.
Fine powders guarantee a velvety touch, while ultra-fine pigments ensure excellent colour yield and high blendability."

Before starting the review let's take a look at the packaging.

It comes in a silver box and inside the box is the blush in a compact container. It doesn't have any mirror. The cover is transparent through which you can see the product.

When you open the lid, you will notice three different colours in the same blush. On the extreme left is a brown shade, then in the middle is orange and at the right end is light peach with shimmer on it. The shimmer is not that visible in the picture but the extreme right colour works very good as a highlighter.

You can use the darker shade for contouring and the middle for blush and the lighter shade for highlighting or you can use all the three together for a shimmery blush. The swatch above is just one swipe of finger across the product.

The blush is extremely pigmented but it is also extremely blend able. You have to be careful when you apply it, you can always apply too much and get an orange cheek but if used properly it looks divine. Always start with a little product and then build on it if you feel like.

Price : Rs. 1200

It is pricey but you are getting a lot of product and also the quality is very good. I used the blush in one of my tutorial and the link to it is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZCdcdRx8-4

Leave a comment to let me know what you thought about the blush.... :)

PAC Pro Lip Pots in "Grown Up" Review | Lip Pots in India

I know how important that perfect lipstick is to a woman. I also know the constant struggle of reapplying lipstick after every meal or the fear of getting our lipstick on our partner's lips while kissing. Well the struggle is over ladies.

PAC just launched their lip pots on Amazon and Flipkart and I jumped right in to buy one. I have used it for a couple of days now to really tell you how I feel about it. I haven't kissed anyone wearing it but I can assure you don't have to worry about transferring your lipstick on him.

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a cardboard container and inside you will find the pot and a lip brush. I thought the free lip brush was so thoughtful of them. Usually a makeup company would try to sell the lip brush separately for extra cash but they gave it for free. The lip pot is made of tough glass jar and the cap is plastic with PAC written on it. The lip brush is pretty good quality and does the job perfectly.

The colour I got is called "Grown Up". It is a very bright fuchsia colour. It is very flattering for almost any skin colour.

Let's start with the Pros of this product:
1. It is very long lasting. I wear it in the morning before heading for work and as the day progresses I drink water or eat food which removes the outer coating of the lip product. But it still leaves a pretty intense stain on your lips so that it doesn't look as if you have nothing on your lips.
2. It is very pigmented. You don't have to layer it to get the colour. One stroke and it gives you the perfect colour.
3. It is extremely matte. You might have to use chapstick if you have dry lips because this is just going to give colour not moisture.
4. It doesn't transfer. This is what I was talking about when I said you can kiss whoever you want once you apply this.
5. Best for professional makeup artists. If you are not a professional makeup artist then you might want a lipstick instead of a lip pot. But if you are makeup collector then why not.
6. You get a lot of product just for Rs. 485. It might be with you till you die.

Now the Cons
1. It is a lip pot so you have to carry the lip brush otherwise you will end up with colour on your fingers which is a little hard to get out.
2. The lip brush is another brush you have to take care and clean. If this was a lipstick you wouldn't have to worry about the lip brush. If you lose the lip brush you have to purchase another one.
3. This gets powdery if you have dry lips and you have been wearing it for a long time.

The swatch I have attached above is just one stroke with the my fingers. It is that pigmented.

Price: Rs. 485

You can buy it from Amazon or Flipkart. There in total 10 shades in this series and all of them are in the red or pink colour family. Would I repurchase it? Yeah... if it ever gets over I will definitely repurchase it. I am also planning to buy one more colour so hang on for the next review.

So this was the full review of the PAC lip pot in "Grown Up". I have also made a video review if you are interested. Here is the link https://youtu.be/gNu_SkqWJJw. I am also wearing the lip pot on lips for you to see how it looks like on me.

Please comment if you liked the review. See you next time :) And don't forget to be awesome.

The Body Shop Banana Conditioner Review

I know this is a hair product and not a makeup one but I had to share my experience with the Body Shop Banana Conditioner.

I have always had problems with conditioner. I used to use the commercial brands like Loreal, Sunsilk, Panteen and so on. I would get bad allergies every time I would use them. I would get blisters on the back of my neck and it would itch all day long.

For a long time I thought I was allergic to all conditioners. I also went to a dermatologists with this problem and he told me that I am not allergic to the conditioners but actually I was allergic to the detergent present in all these commercial hair products.

My doctor asked me to look for a brand which uses natural ingredients and not harmful chemicals. Then at last I found The Body Shop. I bought the banana conditioner first and found that it was not working at all. The the sales girl in the shop asked me to use it with a body shop shampoo and then my life completely changed.

The official website of The Body Shop says this about the conditioner:

"This thick and creamy conditioner leaves hair beautifully soft and tangle-free. It contains real banana puree."

The description of the conditioner is so true. The conditioner is thick and extremely creamy. It also reduces tangles and leaves the hair feeling so soft. I noticed that the conditioner reduces tangles when I had done global colouring to my hair. As you may know, if you go for global colouring, it always makes the hair extremely dry and also makes it very difficult to remove tangles after washing. But when I used this conditioner I couldn't believe how nice I could get my hair tangle free.

The consistency as mentioned earlier is quite thick and creamy. It smells amazing, like a mixture of banana smoothie and pineapple. I sometimes feel the urge to taste it.

Price in India: Rs795

On last helpful tip I will give before ending this blog is that if you are thinking of becoming a regular customer of The Body Shop then go for their membership. With every purchase you get a certain percentage discount (only if you show the card) and at certain amount of purchase you also get gift vouchers. I shop so much from The Body Shop that I love the discounts I get every time.

Thank you so much for reading. Please leave a comment below to let me know if this was at all helpful to you.

Grey sparkly eyes with Bold Lips

I am going to attempt to do my first makeup tutorial in a blog. I really wanted to do this for a long time. I have made the video of the same tutorial on my Yoututbe channel. Click on the link below to go to my channel.

https://www.youtube.com/user/lizziepriyam

Let's start with the picture tutorial.

The look that I am going to explain is a grey sparkly eyes with bold lips. This look will be perfect for a night time party. The look turned out quite nice and I have to admit I was very proud of the end result.

If you don't like to read, you can also watch the whole tutorial here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtRl0jnFgJQ

1. Step one is very crucial when we are dealing with dark eyeshadows. This step is applying a primer all over my eye lids till the brow bone. The primer I like to use for eyes in Loreal Base Magique Primer. This is a silicone base primer and helps the shadows last for a long time.

2. Then I am going to add a concealer over the primer as a base. I like concealer for base because it creates a blank canvas for applying the eyeshadows and covers any discolouration or veins. The concealer should be the same colour as what you are going to be using for covering your under eye dark circles. I am going to use the MAC conceal and correct palette in medium dark and my concealer number is NC42. I am going to apply this with a small angled brush but you can use your fingers too if you want.

3. Then to avoid the concealer from creasing I will apply a mattifying powder all over the concealer. I am doing this because I not only want to avoid creasing of my concealer but also as I have a oily skin the powder will mattify the skin and my eyeshadow would last longer. I am using Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder and I will apply this with PAC brush 022.

4. Next I will take the Faces Ultime Pro Eyeshadow crayon in the colour Dancing Queen and will apply this all over the lid area. There is no particular technique required here but just adding the crayon on your lid and not going beyond the lid area.

5. Then I am going to smooth out the harsh edges left by the eyeshadow crayon with the help of a crease brush from MAC 217 and eyeshadow from Makeupgeek Frappe. This step is very crucial and you have to keep building up the colour till you feel the crayon is well blended. Start with a little bit of product and then keep building on it till you get the required result.

6. Then I am going to intensify the outer corner with the help of a black eyeshadow. I will be using small smudger brush from Real Technique and PAC eyeshadow number 14. Then blend the black with the same crease brush with other eyeshadow.

7. To finish the upper lid by apply a liner. I am using a gel eyeliner and making a dramatic wing too. I am applying the gel eyeliner with a Real Technique Liner brush. The gel liner is Maybelline Gel Liner. Also adding MAC Opulash mascara to my upper lashes.

8. For Lower lash line I applied the same faces eyeshadow crayon and then coated the lower lashes with the same mascara.

9. Highlight the inner corner and the brow bone with a PAC eyeshadow number 15.

This completes the eye look. I have paired it with my favourite dark lipstick from MAC in the shade Diva. I hope you enjoyed this picture tutorial. Please comment and share if you liked it.
